Photographic Holidays Spain

The beautiful weather of the summer season continued into September, with blue skies and high temperatures – all very welcome for Jeff and Kath, our next guests from England.  Jeff and Kath have stayed with us three times before, but the last time was back in 2008, so there was a lot of catching up to do!  They had not seen the fully completed refurbishments to the frontage, gardens and swimming pool that had been carried out here, so were full of admiration for all the improvements.

Having been here before, and always been keen to explore the surrounding areas, they were now eager to revisit some of their favourite places.  They took the opportunity to go somewhere in their car most days, generally leaving late morning, having lunch at the destination, and then returning during the course of the afternoon in time to relax around the pool in the late sunshine.

Jeff is a keen and accomplished professional photographer, and some of the shots that he took on their outings can be seen here.  A particularly favourite spot of theirs is Villajoyosa (a little to the south of Benidorm), and this was their first port of call.  Other trips included the very popular town of Guadalest with its famous castle, as well as Altea and Denia just along the coast, and Simat and Xativa slightly nearer to home.

Jeff and Kath stayed six nights with us, and also dined with us every evening as well, so there was plenty of time to catch up on each other’s news.  Fortunately the weather behaved itself perfectly and was beautiful for the whole of their stay, so their return to us was all that they had hoped for.  When the time came for them to leave, their only regret was that they had left it so long to visit us again.  We certainly hope that their next visit will not be so far ahead in the future.
