Thomas and Tomas!

More guests to visit us for the first time were a couple from Frankfurt in Germany, Tomas Sanzol and his partner – also called Thomas!  They has been spending time further south near Alicante, – the family of dark-haired Tomas (who has a Spanish mother) have a house in that area – and they decided to spend a few days with us before going to Valencia City, and then on to Buñol for the famous “Tomatina” fiesta – characterised by everyone flinging tomatoes at each other until the streets run red with tomato juice!!

They were unfortunate with the weather on their first day, as it was uncharacteristically wet, but things improved rapidly for the rest of their visit.  They made use of the “Gandia Bus Turistic” during their stay, the newly launched open-top bus tour of Gandía, and said it was well worth the trip!  Otherwise, most of their time was spent either on the beach or around our pool, and their only regret when it came time to leave was that they had not been able to spend more time with us.  They come to Spain most years to spend time in Tomas’s family’s house, so we hope they will return to us for a longer stay next year.
