On Tuesday, we collected 4 ladies from Gandía railway station, who were coming down to stay with us, after spending 5 days in the Valencia City.  Although four of them are living and working in London, they are in fact from the Irish Republic originally but by coincidence now have a home in the same neighbourhood that we used to live in during our time in London.  It seems little has changed in East Dulwich since we left!
Most of their time has been spent relaxing in the garden and taking advantage of the wonderful sunshine that we are enjoying at the moment.  Wednesday night, however, was earmarked for a trip to Playa de Gandía, where they had a great meal at the lovely Siddhartha Restaurant, followed by a careful survey of the most popular bars, finishing off at CocoLoco dance club, where they stayed until the small hours.
They decided that they were having such a great time with us, that instead of moving on southwards to Alicante on Friday as planned, they would change their travel plans and stay with us for an extra night and only depart for Alicante on the Saturday instead.  It is always good when guests say they want to stay longer because they are enjoying themselves so much, and a pleasure that they were able to change their plans to do just that!
