Motorbike Guests!

This week saw the arrival of a couple from Belgium, stopping for a few days with us on their way further south. What made them different from most of our guests is that Frans and Marita arrived on their motorbike, which they were using to tour around Spain. Obviously, they had travelled on it from their home in Belgium and all through France, although the purpose of their holiday was the trip around Spain and visiting some friends near Marbella. They chose to stay with us at Villa Florencia for some rest and relaxation on their way south, but at the same time were keen to take day trips around the area on their bike, enjoying the views from the mountains as well as visiting towns down the coast. One of the attractions of our home was the safe and secure off-road parking that we could offer them. Normally guests who arrive by car leave their vehicles in our front parking area, but we were happy to let Frans and Marita leave their bike under cover behind the secure gate – in the area that we use for parking our own car. Apparently it is unusual to find a place like ours that can offer secure parking in this way!

Bon-Voyage with the rest of your motorcycling holiday.
Spain is motorcycle rider’s heaven. There are almost as many mountain ranges as towns, and they are all different. Valencia (Spain) is the third city of Spain, after Madrid and Barcelona. It’s worth to explore (if only to fight the traffic in the inner city on motorcycle).
But the real secret of Valencia (Spain) is the country behind. Directly around Valencia (Spain) are orchards with citrus trees, but a little bit further, there is a great motorcycle country.
